I WENT TO GHARGANGA AND FIND THE RECORD BUT ONLY FOR 8 GENERATIONS. I WENT TO SHYAMPURA A VILLAGE OF JAT GOTRAS BHATs. WE FIND SOME GOTRAs RECORD. BUT THEY TOLD ME DUDI GOTRA BHAT ARE IN SIKAR- SARDARSAHAR- NAGORE OR BHARATPUR AREA.
I HEARD DENGSARA WAS A JAGIR OF A RAJPUT. I ALSO KNOW DUDIBAS VILLAGE WAS GIVEN TO MIRDHA JAT AS JAGIR BY MAHARAJA JODHPUR. KALWA WAS ALSO A JAGIR OF DUDI.
WE CAN PUT ALL THIS INFORMATION ON OUR SITE IN A NICE WAY.

next village is Khachroli of Pawar/Panwar gotra

Close To Dohkiya which is our Dudi old village.
According to some people these Gotra were in Rajsathan around Sinsani- Bharatpur . They were in Maharaja Surajmal Army. After wars with muslims in Delhi they move to these jungle area toward Jahjjar- Rewari.
The East of Yamuna was also over papulated so they move westward.

Other people saying. These people were old ruler of Khokara Kot and Mohanbadi ancient kingdom of aryan time. . These above villages are around Khokara Kot- Mohanbadi- Now Jhasava Kalan- Khurd
I visited this site many times with Swami OMANAND JI. More material from Khokara kot and Mohanbadi is in Gurukal Jhajjar museum for further research.

PUNIA- PUNIYA is one of the biggest jat Gotra. A very organised Khap history . had many wars with Rajput. During these war our ancestors Dudee helped them and became Dharam Bhai. Ch PitRam Dudee was sarpanch of Hamirwas village. He was also head of 300 villages of Punia Khap.
This is Honour we got from Punia gotra for help in difficult time. These are Khandani values . Ponias are more democrat and they are still honour the old dharambhai values. Pitram Dudee is brother of ponias. But we have many relations with ponias khap and in Hamirwas itself.

HISTORY OF DUDI- DUDEE JAT GOTRA- DUDIWALA RAMPURA.
Dudiwala Rampura village in Dist Bhiwani Haryana was founded by Dudi- DUDEE Gotra jat. The Dudiwala village was there when Raja Sangram Singh- Dada Sangu moved to Jhojhu - Charkhi Dadri Area from Ajmer .

Our Dudi forefather has KAAJ ceremony in memory of his mother death.
The Dudi Khandani Baramin - Pandit perform the Kiriya Ceremony. Dudi Chaudhray donated half of his land to Pandits. The Pandits move to new found land called village Rampura today. The Baramin was so crafty or please with Dudi that after chanting few Mantra he convert whole Dudiwala village in Baramin caste. He given the Dudi the only Mantra RAM NAM SATYA HAE. He also appointed the Dudi as a Baramin to Sangwan Jat Gotra. That is why Dudiwala- Rampura are baramin dominated villages in 44 Sangwan Jats villages and less Dudi -Dudee Jat gotra among Jats. Some Dudi jats became Baramin & Bishnoi.
But Dharmpal Dudee is still a Dudi Jat. Some Pandits still advising me.
Dudee Sahib kyun Jatoo Ki Galiya Khaty hon. Hamary sath mil jao- so the Panjabi and other caste inviting DUDEE. So we jats and Dudi are friend of humanity and brother of mankind.

This is all I have on the Variach/Waraich Jatt Clan.

It is a quote from Punjab Castes by Sir Denzil Ibbetson (1883)

"The Waraich is one of the most largest Jat tribes in the Salt Ranges
Province. IN Akbars time they held two thirds of the Gujrat district,
though on less favourable terms than those allowed to the Gujars who held
the remainder, they held 170 villages in the district in the 1880s. The
spread along under the hills as far as Ludhiana, maler Kotla and
Guranwala (where they held 41 villages in the 1880s)

They are staunchly proud with their Jat ancestory and do not even
pretend to be Rajputs and say their ancestor was Dhudi, a Jat who came into
India with Mahummed Ghaznavi and settled in Gujrat, where they grew
powerful and partly dispersed the orginal Gujar lords of the soil.

Another story is that their ancestor was a Surajbansi Rajput who can
from Ghazni to Gujrat, while according to a thirs account their ancestor
was a descendant of Raja Karan who went froim the city of Kisralh to
Delhi ans was seltted by Jalal-ul-din Firoz Shah in Hissar, whereupon
they monved some 6 centuries ago to Guranwala.

Regardsless, there is little doubt that Gujanwala was their first home
and that their movement has been eastwards. The Wazirabad family of
this tribe rose to Importanace under the Sikhs , and its history is
narrated by Lepel Griffin in Punjab Chiefs. They are mostly Muslims, but
retained many of their tribal and a few Hindu customs. They marry with the
best local tribes and appear to be known as Chung or Variach
indiffernelt in the Lahore district"
.

When I was it Pakistan in 2003, I remember seeing a bus company by the
name of Wariach on the way from Lahore to Islamabad.

He joined the Vidyarthi Parisad and took part in student
movement.

am his younger sister Susheela's and Dr. Raja Ram's son. Mr. Lalchand
as you must be aware passed away from cancer in 2003. His sons Jaideep
and Sandeep have taken over the mantle of public service. The white
kothi between Channi and Bhadra was our go to place for summer. I grew up
in Delhi. Currently in Tempe, Arizona with wife and a six month old
daughter. Look forward to hearing from you.

Saka: Self sacrifice for the cause.



It was a Tuesady, black Tuesday in Khejadli. 10th day of the bright fortnight of the month Bhadrapad (Indian lunar Calendar) in 1730 A.D.
Amrita Devi a mother of three daughters viz. Asu, Ratni and Bhagu bai was at home with her daughters. Suddenly, she came to know that many people had descended in their otherwise sleepy village. It was a party of Maharaja (local King ) Abhay Singhji, Ruler of Marwar (Jodhpur) state who wanted to fell green Khejdali (Prosopis cinraria) trees. Evidently, the king wanted the fuel to burn lime for the construction of his new palace. Since,there was a lot of greenery in the Bishnoi villages even in the middle of thar desert,the king ordered his men to get the woods from Khejadli.

Amrita Devi protested against King's men's attempt to cut green trees as it was prohibited in Bishnoi religion (See ). The malevolent feudal party told her that if she wanted the trees to be spared, she should give them money as bribe. She refused to acknowledge this demand and told them that she would consider it as an act of ignominy and insult to her religious faith. She said that she would rather give away her life to save the green trees. It is at that stage she spoke these words:



"Sar Santey Rookh Rahe To Bhi Sasto Jaan"
(If a tree is saved even at the cost of one's head, it's worth it)

Saying these words, she offered her head!

The axes which were brought to cut the trees severed her head from her trunk. the three young girls Asu, Ratni and Bhagu were not daunted, and offered their heads too!

The news spread like wildfire.Villagers (Bishnois) gathered and sent summons to 83 Bishnoi villages to come and decide on the next course of action. Since the supreme sacrifice by those four had not satisfied the royal party, and the felling of green trees was continued, it was decided that for every green tree to be cut, one Bishnoi volunteer would sacrifice his/ her life. In the beginning, old people voluntarily started holding the trees to be cut in an embrace as in the Chipko movement of 20th Century in Uttar Pradesh (India).

In this way many valiant old person gave away their lives, but it failed to have the desired impact. Moreover, the Hakim (Royal party's leader) taunted the Bishnoi's that in this manner they were offering unwanted old persons. Soon, young men, women,including recently married ones and children were sacrificing themselves in a similar manner.

There was intense pandemonium. It completely shook the tree-felling party, headed by their leader Girdhar Das Bhandari (Hakim), and they left for Jodhpur with their mission unfulfilled and told the Maharaja about what had happened. As soon as he learnt it, he ordered stoppage of the felling of trees.

Alas, by that time, Three Hundred and Sixty Three (363) Bishnois,young and old, men and women, married and unmarried, rich and poor had already become martyrs.

Honouring the courage of the community, the ruler of Jodhpur, Maharaja Abhay Singh, apologised for the mistake committed by his officials and issued a royal decree, engraved on a copper plate ordering the following:

(A) All cutting of green trees and hunting of animals within the revenue boundaries of Bishnoi villages was strictly prohibited.
(B) It was also ordered that if by mistake any individual violated this order, he would be prosecuted by state and a severe penalty imposed.
(C) Even the members of ruling family did not shoot animals in or even near the Bishnoi's Village

Although, Bishnoi's paid a huge price for saving a few trees, this incident had inspired, and will continue to do so in future, many others to fight and protect trees and wild life. Recently, Nihal Chand Bishnoi had sacrificied his life for protecting wild animals in October 1996. A film "Willing to Sacrifice" based on his story won the main award of the Environment film at the 5th International Festivals of Films, TV and Video Program ENVIRON'99 Bratislava, Slovak Republic.

We pay our tributes to Amrita Devi and other martyrs, and pledge to protect environment and wild life at any cost.
