CHAHAR - CHAHAL IS A OLD JAT GOTRA SENCE MAHABHARATA PERIOD. THIS IS BRANCH OF OLD CHOL BANSA.
Raja Maldev Chahar was Rular of Sidhmukh Jangledesh near Bikaner Rajasthan in 13 th century. He has very beautiful & brave daughter name Somadevi. Gulam muslim ruler was passing from Jasalmer to Delhi staying at Sidhmukh. Two bulls were fighting , whole Muslim army watching, no one dare to stop them. Somadevi came out and caught 2 bulls with horn and stop them.
The muslim ruler was so impressed that he put Somadevi marriage parposal to Raja Maldev. But raja Maldev and jats refused to his offer.
There was bloody fight. Raja maldev, Somdevi and many jats died in this battle.
Chahar jats moved to Jhunjhavati from Sidhmukh.
There are 300 Chahar villages in Agar district. Akola chaharvati.
Some of them were in Maharaja Surajmal army and called Faujdar.
Ramki Chahar was a famous, brave general.
Ex Capt Bhagwan Singh president of Jatmahasabha and father of Ch Ajay singh High Com of Fiji is a Chahar.
Ch Harphul Singh Chahar of Pahadi Diraj Delhi was also famous.
Ch Hira Singh Chahar was famous freedom fighter of village Pahadsar, Rajgarh- Churu.Raj
He was grandfather of our member Omparkash Chaudhary BAJA- BAY AREA JAT
CH GHASIRAM CHAHAR CAME FROM SIDHMUKH AND FAUNDED OUR VILLAGE GHASOLA . OUR VILLAGE IS OVER 1000 YERAS OLD BEFORE RAJA MALDEV CHAHAR FIGHT WITH THE MUSLIMS.
BEFORE GUJAR WERE IN OUR OLD KHERA. I GOT SOME THEETH FROM OLD HISTORICAL SITE NEAR OUR VILLAGE .
I know the jat gotra history and written a book Aadhunic Jat itihas. Khurda. Bearla Silana- Silani after Ghasola- 1/2 machhroli only Silana- Silani chahar villages in our area.
. Our Panchayat helped EX Minister ch Manphul Singh of Silani during elections.
Gurukul Jhajjar is on the land of Silani Chahar village.
I been to Gurukul Jhajjar mamy times. I was there on 12 march 2005 . I met Achara VijayPal & Achriya Baldev and others. The Indian army History France to Kargil was presented to Prof Sher Singh Ji & Nihal Singh Arya ji at the Gurukul Samelan. Dc Jhajjar was chief guest.
